I scratched this out on a post it back in November of 2009.I dont remember the specific context of this one. However, just from how it is put together I know I drew it at a fairly low/dark point. I'm not much for random lines/strokes etc. Scribbles terrify me, especially scribbles in ink. Yet here this is. Self portrait. The shapes were obviously drawn first.I rarely doodle intentionally, so the shape sets must have come from a phone conversation. I'd say 2 different conversations. The resulting scribbled image likely after the phone calls, all in one quick sitting.
Anyway. I like it. I illustrates me at consistently varying points . I've used it as an avatar on various applications.
This second picture I pulled out of photoshop just a few moments ago. From import to export, I'd say 5 minutes or so went into this. So a similar method applied digitally. Frantic and frustrated. I hit my year mark yesterday. Since starting here, I've always said "I'll reevaluate whether or not I'll stay at my year mark." This often said in regards to the frustratingly slow progress I feel we're making here. Then that in relation to my reliance on this job due to my lack of education. Bleh. So. This.
its so interesting how little doodles can spark imagination. Im seeing some cool things that could come of this, character design wise.
ReplyDeletebut this is great the way it is, I just really like where my mind went as i views this.
